Nefertiti’s Novels was created to educate, empower, inspire, and bring joy by featuring great reads from the past to the present. It is important that we know our history, but not be bound by it. Reading is a form of meditation and good for your mental health.  Just like you walk for your physical health, you exercise your brain by reading.  

As a kid I read for enjoyment; it was an escape from the realities of life. One trip to the library and I was on my way to another continent.  None of the characters looked like me, but I enjoyed the stories none the less.  My grandfather could not read and as I would tell him what certain things said…..I began to realize the power in knowing how to read as a little girl and took pride in my reading skills.  Not only could I travel through books, I could teach myself how to do whatever I desire! The world felt like it was my oyster and I realized the value in intellectual capital. The life I dreamed of was always just one book away.
